So as a
young ambitious guy, I always look for opportunities to make some extra income.
Some call it passive income, but whatever. There is no limit to what I can go
into if it’s not beyond my shallow pocket and if it’s not illegal. Of course
this includes sports betting and lottery.
I became
interested in the lottery when a friend won a small amount of GHS2,000 (about N145,000 / $400) from staking GHS2 (about N145 / $0.40c). Chaley, my eyes open and I
thought, hey, why not me? How difficult is it to predict numbers?
Yes, I know
he had invested some other amounts that never gave him returns, but doing the
math, what he won far outweighed the amounts invested. Yh, na investment oo. We
can thus conclude that the young man has a positive cash flow following the winnings.
I decided
to give it a try, no harm in trying. Except, being Salisu Umar, I cannot be
seen standing in front of a lotto kiosk, not even to ask directions. I thought
to have someone do it for me or wear a disguise, but for ‘shegee’ reasons, I
decided not to. My friend could have easily done this for me too, but that my
man eh, he mafia pass Don Corleone oo.
I began to
interact with the NLA social media accounts about the need to have an app or a
webpage where the shy at heart and face like myself can stake. All to no avail.
Apparently, the NLA had a mobile app that failed for reasons I am interested in
knowing.
But as I always say, ‘Atamfo Ny3 Nyame’ (enemies are not God).
Sometime in October, I saw a tweet “Hey Ghana! Are you ready to be a winner? Visit tswabidi.com to learn more.” Really! Who isn’t? I have been ready since the day I was born.
I clicked the site and saw the banner “Are you shy to go to the lotto kiosk?” Pinch me!!!
I downloaded, registered, funded my account via mobile money
with GHS10, did a Perm 2 with numbers 13
20 7 3 then staked. After 6pm, I was refreshing the asembi.com lotto page
for the result of the day so much that I would have been called by the site
admins to reduce my refresh rate. While waiting for the results, I received a
notification from the Tswabidi app for the day’s result. My GHS2 investment had gone into a bottomless
pit, waiting for me to withdraw it and thousands of others’ J.
But, chaley, my joy is that I can instantly participate in
the lotto from anywhere I receive inspiration. Heck I can pick Ozil’s jersey
number 10 and combine with Bottas’ 1m 46.286s fastest lap time at Spa Francorchamps on
an amazing Sunday of football and F1.
And just in case anyone is wondering where I got 13 20 7 3 from, they represent my
siblings.
To my our victory, success and good fortune!✌
